As the business continues to grow, they're looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join their London Head Office Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, influence key business decisions and play a pivotal role in driving financial performance within a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
As Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts, supporting the preparation of Board reporting, budgets and forecasts, and delivering insightful variance analysis to inform strategic decision‑making. You'll oversee month‑end processes, maintain robust financial controls, support the annual audit, ensure statutory compliance including VAT and regulatory returns, and partner with stakeholders across the business to improve financial understanding and performance. You'll also work closely with the Accounts Payable and Credit Control teams, helping to develop reporting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and profitability.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least three years’ experience in a Management Accountant position, ideally within a retail, fashion or wholesale environment. You'll possess strong technical accounting knowledge, advanced Excel skills and experience preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts. We’re looking for someone who is analytical, commercially aware and proactive, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to business partner with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. A positive, hands‑on attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment are essential.
