You’ll be part of a business that invests in its people, champions career development and empowers its teams to make a real impact across every stage of the product journey. As a Technologist specialising in Denim & Outerwear, you’ll take ownership of quality across your product categories, ensuring products consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements and brand standards.
Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Design and suppliers, you’ll drive the implementation of the quality framework from product development through to production, using your technical expertise to influence product engineering, supplier performance and manufacturing processes. You’ll lead fit sessions, assess product risk, review testing and compliance, benchmark competitors, support cost and quality improvements, and help deliver commercially successful products that are right first time.
You’ll also mentor colleagues, share best practice across the wider business and deputise for the Technical Manager when required. We’re looking for an experienced Technologist with specialist knowledge of Denim and Outerwear gained within a major retailer or supplier. You’ll have a strong understanding of garment construction, fabric performance, grading, fit, manufacturing and quality assurance, alongside the ability to confidently interpret test reports and make commercially balanced decisions.
Experience in supplier management, product engineering, risk assessment and regulatory compliance is essential, as is the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers. You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent analytical and organisational skills, capable of mentoring others while driving continuous improvement across your product categories.
