Are you passionate about denim and driven by delivering exceptional product quality? We're looking for an experienced Denim Technologist to join our dynamic womenswear team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading womenswear retailer, playing a key role in ensuring our denim collections meet the highest standards of fit, quality, performance and compliance from development through to production.

The Role

Working closely with Buying, Design and Suppliers, you'll be responsible for managing the technical development of our denim product range, ensuring garments are fit for purpose, commercially viable and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical development of the denim category from first sample through to production.
  • Conduct fit sessions and provide clear technical comments to suppliers.
  • Approve garments for fit, construction, workmanship and quality.
  • Work closely with Design and Buying teams to maintain the creative vision while ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Liaise with global suppliers to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure products meet all quality, safety and compliance standards.
  • Monitor critical path timelines to support on-time delivery.
  • Review wash developments, fabric performance and garment testing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve fit consistency, quality and manufacturing efficiencies.

About You

You’ll be an experienced Garment or Denim Technologist with a strong understanding of womenswear denim construction, fabrics and wash techniques.

You’ll also have:

  • Proven experience within womenswear denim.
  • Excellent garment fitting and pattern knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of denim fabrics, laundries and finishing processes.
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers.
  • A commercial approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
