We’re looking for a freelance multi-product garment technologist, to work on the development of woven and jersey menswear and womenswear apparel for a luxury retailer based in East London. Suitable candidates must be immediately available.

To achieve and maintain the highest possible quality standards for all apparel throughout all stages of the garment technology process, from the initial design through to the final product stage. Liaise closely with colleagues and customers at each stage of the process, communicating all information concisely to all relevant parties.

The role:

  • Oversee fit sessions in the relevant areas and to make accurate notes relating to garment construction.
  • Translate design sketches into workable information to provide to outsourced suppliers.
  • Supporting and liaising with team on all issues of quality assurance from proto stages and sampling whilst always maintaining the highest standards of production.

The candidate:

  • Previous experience of working on womenswear with woven and jersey products.
  • Proven experience in a garment technical role and working with outsourced factories.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills are required for liaison with customers and internal departments.
