We’re working with one of London’s most exciting contemporary luxury womenswear brands to find an exceptional Flou Designer to join its creative studio. Think statement dresses, beautiful drape, elevated fabrics, print, embellishment and pieces designed for seriously good nights out. The brand has built a cult following for its confident, feminine aesthetic and is now entering another exciting stage of international growth. This is a brilliant opportunity to work closely with the Creative Director and have genuine influence across the collections.

The role

  • You’ll take ideas from initial mood and sketch through to the finished piece, designing beautiful, commercial product while protecting that all-important luxury handwriting.
  • Expect to be immersed in:
    • Dresses, soft separates and occasionwear
    • Draping, silhouette and beautiful fabric development
    • Print, embroidery, embellishment and surface detail
    • Seasonal concepts, colour palettes and fabric direction
    • Sketching and detailed technical CADs
    • Fabric sourcing and development
    • Sampling, fittings and final sign-off
    • Special capsules, exclusives and bridal
    • Working directly with factories to perfect every detail
    • Collaborating closely with the Creative Director, Product and Pattern Cutting teams
  • You’ll have the freedom to be properly creative, but you’ll also understand how to turn a beautiful idea into a product women actually want to buy.

About you

  • We’re looking for a designer within luxury or premium womenswear and a portfolio that makes us want to see more.
  • You’ll have a gorgeous flou / dresses / occasionwear handwriting, alongside:
    • Exceptional understanding of drape, fit and silhouette
    • Strong fabric and garment construction knowledge
    • A beautiful eye for colour, print and detail
    • Experience with embroidery and embellishment
    • Strong hand sketching and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop skills
    • Confidence taking product from concept through development and production
    • Commercial instinct alongside genuine creativity
    • Experience working in a fast-paced luxury fashion studio
