An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing, award‑winning retail business in a newly created Employee Relations Partner role within a dynamic People team. This is a fantastic time to join an organisation in a strong phase of growth, where you’ll play a key role in supporting managers and colleagues across a multi‑site environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of People Services, you will act as the expert for all employee relations matters, providing specialist advice and guidance to ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant people practices. You will manage complex casework, coach managers, and contribute to a positive, high‑performing workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing expert advice on disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, and capability cases
  • Leading investigations and supporting early resolution through coaching and mediation
  • Developing manager capability in handling people matters
  • Analysing ER trends and recommending proactive improvements
  • Ensuring compliance with UK employment law and best practice
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives, including restructures, redundancies, and TUPE
  • Promoting a consistent and positive employee experience across a multi‑site operation

Success in this role will be measured through early case resolution, reduced absence and risk exposure, improved manager capability, and positive feedback from stakeholders.

About You

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience managing complex ER cases
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience within a fast‑paced, multi‑site, retail or operational environment
  • Confident communicator with the ability to coach, influence, and challenge constructively
  • Highly organised with excellent judgement and ability to manage a busy caseload
  • Passionate about fairness, inclusion, and values‑led working
