A leading supplier of lifestyle products to major UK retailers and supermarkets is looking for an experienced
Senior Slipper Designer to join its growing design team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially aware designer who thrives on developing innovative, trend-led product whilst understanding the commercial realities of the retail market.
Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams, you will create commercially successful slipper collections across both fashion and core product categories for major high street and supermarket accounts.
You will play a key role in identifying trends, generating new ideas and producing high-quality presentations that bring concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop commercially successful slipper collections.
- Produce high-quality CADs, sketches and presentation materials to client-ready standards.
- Translate trends into commercially viable product ranges.
- Research fabrics, materials, trims and construction techniques.
- Create seasonal mood boards, design concepts and customer presentations.
- Work closely with sales, product development and overseas teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Respond to customer briefs and adapt designs to meet commercial requirements.
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity and emerging consumer preferences.
About You
- Previous experience designing slippers, footwear or closely related product categories.
- Excellent CAD rendering and sketching ability.
- Strong understanding of slipper constructions, fabrications and materials - ideal, not essential - knowledge of footwear or accessories also considered
- Highly trend aware with the ability to balance fashion and commercial product.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent colour and material interpretation skills.
- Able to work at pace whilst maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Confident taking a design brief and translating it into polished, customer-ready concepts.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
The Opportunity
