About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Factory Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility in Long Eaton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production professional to take ownership of a busy factory environment, leading teams, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring efficient workflow across the operation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in motivating staff, driving productivity, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe and positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily factory operations and production activities.
- Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve performance targets.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and efficiency across all areas of the factory.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Coordinate staffing levels and workload planning to meet business demands.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Work closely with management to achieve production objectives and KPIs.
- Address operational issues promptly and implement effective solutions.
- Support training and development of team members.
About You
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong people management and communication skills.
- Ability to organise workloads and prioritise effectively.
- A hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements within a factory setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices would be advantageous.
