Temporary Customer Service (Retail Head Office) – Agency Role

Location: South East London (Four days based in the office one from home)

Duration: 26th of May start – End of August (No notice period or pre-booked holidays permitted)

Pay: Hourly rate, paid weekly via PAYE (agency payroll)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days, shifts between 7:30am – 9:30pm on rotation

We are recruiting on behalf of a luxury retailer for customer care consultants to support peak trading across the summer period. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, fashion-focused environment, delivering exceptional service to a high-end international customer base. This role will be four days a week in South East London with one day from home. There will also be weekend shifts scheduled in, once every three weeks.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for delivering a premium customer experience while supporting order processing, returns, and sales through multiple communication channels.
  • You will act as a brand ambassador, combining customer service excellence with commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process outbound orders and customer returns accurately
  • Deliver outstanding customer service across all interactions using various software
  • Build strong product knowledge to confidently advise customers on purchases
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell products to meet performance targets
  • Meet and exceed individual and team KPIs (quality, productivity, and sales)
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve customer queries efficiently
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact order delivery
  • Manage and categorise customer queries using internal systems
  • Escalate complex issues or complaints when required
  • Effectively prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven customer service experience, ideally within retail or e-commerce
  • Strong interest in fashion and luxury brands
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proactive problem-solving ability with a “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Good IT and analytical skills
  • Flexible approach to work, including potential travel for training
  • Team-oriented with a strong individual work ethic
  • Self-motivated and confident in a customer-facing role

Important: You must be available to start on May the 26th and commit through to the end of August. No notice period or pre-booked holidays during the assignment.
