London College of Beauty Therapy (part of Education for Industry Group) is seeking a Salon Supervisor & Receptionist. This is a permanent position at 0.925FTE: 40 hours per week, term-time only, working 5 days per week, including Saturdays. The remaining working days will be agreed in line with salon and business needs.

About the role:

Join London College of Beauty Therapy’s commercial salon and play a key role in delivering an outstanding client experience. As the first point of contact for clients, you will manage reception services, bookings, enquiries, and day-to-day salon operations, helping to create a professional environment that reflects industry standards.

Working closely with salon and curriculum teams, you will support both the commercial success of the salon and the development of students studying Hair and Beauty programmes. By helping to create an authentic, real-world salon environment, you will enable students to gain valuable client-facing experience, develop professional and commercial skills, build their portfolios, and enhance their employability. About you:

  • Qualifications: Minimum Grade C/4 in English and Maths GCSEs or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience of working in a customer-facing environment as a receptionist, front-of-house coordinator, or salon supervisor and experience handling cash, card payments, and daily financial reconciliation.
  • Expertise: Strong digital literacy with experience using salon booking software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to support student learning and assessment activities, or willingness to undertake relevant training.
  • Values: Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for students, clients, and colleagues.
