Kids' Slipper Designer.

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful supplier to leading UK high street retailers and supermarkets, specialising in lifestyle products including slippers, nightwear and loungewear.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and trend-driven

Designer with proven experience in kids' slippers, particularly 3D character and plush styles

This is a key requirement for the role.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and demonstrate a strong portfolio of highly commercial kids' character slippers

. This specialist area requires strong illustrative and sculptural skills, with the ability to translate characters and concepts into appealing, commercially viable 3D products.

Responsibilities

Design commercially successful seasonal slipper collections for major UK high street and supermarket customers, with a strong focus on kids' 3D character and plush slippers

  • Research emerging fashion, lifestyle and consumer trends to create mood boards, colour palettes and seasonal direction.
  • Develop creative yet commercial concepts aligned to customer handwriting, market positioning and target pricing.
  • Produce high-quality CADs, hand sketches, technical drawings and detailed product specifications.
  • Work closely with Design, Product Development, Sourcing and Account Management teams throughout the development process.
  • Present concepts and collections to customers and respond confidently to feedback.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines across various customer accounts.
  • Communicate with UK and China-based teams and travel when required.

About You

Proven experience designing kids' slippers, particularly 3D character, novelty and plush styles.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating highly commercial character-led product.
  • Strong illustrative and sculptural design skills.
  • Excellent CAD, presentation and hand-sketching ability.
  • A strong commercial eye and understanding of trends, materials, construction and product development.
  • Highly organised, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
