Garment Technologist – Sportswear & Lifestyle

We are recruiting for an experienced Garment Technologist to join an established fashion and lifestyle brand on a temporary basis, with an immediate start.

Candidates must be immediately available and not on a notice period to be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Garment Technologist with strong technical knowledge and the confidence to manage garment development and production processes across multiple product categories, including menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and accessories.

Key responsibilities:

• Measuring garment samples and providing detailed fit, construction and workmanship comments.
• Managing the garment development and sample approval process.
• Liaising directly with overseas suppliers to resolve technical queries and ensure product quality.
• Managing critical paths and ensuring production deadlines are met.
• Reviewing and approving lab dips and supplier submissions.
• Taking ownership of development and production timelines for allocated products.
• Supporting factory audits and maintaining technical documentation.

About you:

• At least 3 years' experience in garment technology within a fashion brand, retailer or manufacturer.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, specifications and production processes.
• Experience managing sample approvals, critical paths and supplier communication.
• Confident working independently and managing multiple product developments.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with Adobe Illustrator experience advantageous.

The role offers hybrid working

There is potential for the role to become permanent, although this is not guaranteed.
