About the Role
HDR is searching for a dynamic, diverse, and talented Senior Transport Planner to join our growing transport program in the United Kingdom (UK). The role supports development of transportation planning projects in the UK and similar projects in the US, Canada, and Middle East.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support project managers in the delivery of transportation projects in the UK and in Middle Eastern, USA, and Canadian projects.
- Collate and analyse project data and information.
- Work closely with junior staff and technicians on project development.
- Prepare deliverables, including analyses and reports.
- Support the development of project and fee proposals.
- Engage directly with clients to support their transport needs and establish relationships.
- Collaborate with other HDR teams, including those based in the UK, Middle East and North America.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with transportation planning and urban design.
- Background in active travel, public transport, scheme development, master planning, developing strategies, studies, appraisals, and development control, including preparing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
