Primary Responsibilities

  • Have recent experience working on diverse and complex social infrastructure projects (including health, education and science/technology) and/or data centre projects.
  • Lead aspect of the planning and detailing of architectural projects through all stages of design, while under the supervision of a Project Lead/Project Manager.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project documentation, including drawings, specifications and reports.
  • Facilitate and lead owner/clients, internal and stakeholder meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
  • Coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s life cycle (from development and initiation to close-out), while under supervision of a Project Manager.
  • Good working knowledge and experience within the UK planning and building regulations systems.
  • Ensure work complies with relevant codes, standards and regulations (i.e. UK Building Regulations, Standards and Healthcare Guidance).
  • Participate in QA/QC and technical reviews.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

You’ll be working closely with the multi-disciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors in the UK and Europe.

Required Requirements

  • Registered Architect - ARB
  • A minimum of 3-5 years practical and industry experience in the UK (i.e. social infrastructure projects (including health, science and technology, education and community projects) and/or data centre projects)
  • Passion for creativity and design
  • Excellent collaboration skills, good self-organisation and strong ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective facilitation with client and multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge and experience applying relevant codes, standards and regulations in design and planning.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
  • Intermediate level knowledge and experience with design software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office
  • Understanding of computational and parametric design
  • Graphic and visualisation skills to communicate design ideas.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in architecture
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio Max but not required
  • Rhino and Grasshopper experience
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design.
