We’re hiring a UK Sales Manager to grow existing wholesale accounts and develop new business for an established premium Canadian brand with a cult following in accessories and a quietly evolving outdoor and lifestyle clothing collection. The range combines natural fibres with performance fabrics and is designed for life outdoors, travel and everyday adventure.
With adventure in mind, this role is about building meaningful, long-term wholesale partnerships across the UK. You will work closely with a small team of UK sales representatives and take the lead in shaping and delivering the wholesale strategy for the market, reporting directly to the VP of Global Sales.
The focus of the role is to set and achieve seasonal sales targets, expand distribution with existing customers and open new accounts that reflect the brand’s values and positioning. You will lead sales meetings at trade shows, digitally and on the road, spending time with current partners and identifying and onboarding new business.
We’re looking for an experienced Wholesale Sales Manager or Country Manager currently living and working in the UK, with a full clean driving licence and at least 7 years of brand-based wholesale experience specialising in outdoor lifestyle apparel and accessories, including menswear and womenswear. A strong and current network of UK independent stores, marketplaces and department stores is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Align and lead the UK wholesale strategy using market knowledge, research and commercial insight to grow existing accounts and develop new business.
- Own the sales process from start to finish, including order processing and tracking on NuOrder and monitoring deliveries with the UK fulfilment team, with the goal of meeting and exceeding targets.
- Present sales performance, distribution strategy and projections for both apparel and accessories to the VP of Global Sales and group owners.
- Provide clear pre-market sales feedback to support merchandising and range planning.
- Analyse sales and shipping reports to ensure targets are achieved.
- Plan and manage regular road trips, store visits and trade shows for both new and existing business, with travel representing around 75 per cent of the role.
- Build strong, open relationships with buying teams and store partners through regular communication and hands-on support.
- Support the team with market preparation, appointments and seasonal strategy.
- Work with the VP of Global Sales to review weekly and seasonal performance and adjust plans accordingly.
Market Planning and Execution
- Assist in planning the annual wholesale calendar and lead pre-season, in-season and post-season activity.
- Prepare and present the sales collection for trade fairs and road appointments.
- Review and confirm orders for accuracy and manage order confirmations with clients.
- Assist with the distribution of sales tools, marketing assets and materials in the UK.
Reporting and Team Management
- Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports and performance analysis.
- Hold regular sales meetings with the VP of Global Sales, providing sales and market feedback.
- Ensure priorities are managed effectively and provide guidance, training and support to the UK sales team.
- Maintain close communication with the UK fulfilment centre to track deliveries and resolve issues quickly.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Sales Manager or Country Manager with at least 7 years of UK wholesale experience in outdoor lifestyle apparel and accessories.
- Strong commercial judgement with a proven track record of growing wholesale business in this sector.
- Current and active network of independent stores, department stores and marketplace accounts.
- Confident communicator and negotiator with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into action.
- Highly organised, self-starter, problem solver, creative thinker, results-focused.
- Experience supporting and working alongside sales representatives.
- Confident using wholesale systems such as NuOrder.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Location, Compensation & Benefits
- Field-based role working from home.
- Salary in line with experience plus performance bonus.
- Car allowance/mileage, mobile and laptop.
- 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays.
