A fashion brand in Leeds is recruiting for a Senior Menswear Designer to join their growing business.

The Brand

They are an established fashion brand based in Leeds, currently going through an exciting period of growth. Design sits at the centre of this role: range planning, trend direction, garment development, and team leadership all fall under your remit, from concept through to delivery.

The Role

  • Lead the design process for assigned categories, from initial concept and trend research through to final range sign-off.
  • Own the critical path for design deliverables, ensuring ranges are developed and handed over to production on time.
  • Research and interpret trends, translating them into commercially viable designs that fit the brand's identity and customer.
  • Develop tech packs, specs, and design details in collaboration with the technical and buying teams.
  • Oversee fittings and fabric/trim selection, working closely with suppliers to maintain quality and cost targets.
  • Mentor and manage junior designers, reviewing their work and supporting their development.
  • Present ranges and design direction to senior stakeholders, buying, and merchandising teams.

About You

  • Versatile Menswear design background, with the ability to work across multiple categories or product types.
  • Solid fashion knowledge gained from either a brand or retailer background or a background within athleisure and performance wear.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and the product development process.
  • Confident presenting design concepts and ranges to stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness: able to balance creative vision with what will sell.
  • Proficient in design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and comfortable working with tech packs/specs.
