We pursue a rigorous, technologically driven, scientific approach to trading.
We are looking for a Junior Trade Support Engineer to join our front office technology team. This is an entry-level role suited to a highly motivated engineer with a strong STEM background who is eager to work close to live, high-frequency trading systems. You will help monitor, investigate, and resolve real-time trading and infrastructure issues, working alongside traders, quants, and senior engineers to keep our systems running smoothly in fast-moving market conditions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor live trading systems and market connectivity across multiple venues
- Investigate real-time trading incidents, anomalies, and performance issues under time pressure
- Triage production problems and work with developers and quants to identify root causes
- Perform post-incident analysis and contribute to preventative improvements
- Build and maintain internal tools, dashboards, and scripts to improve monitoring and operational efficiency
- Assist with exchange-related issues such as order rejections, latency spikes, and data inconsistencies
- Help improve operational processes, runbooks, and alerting as the trading platform scales
- Gradually take on more responsibility for production ownership as experience grows
Requirements
- STEM degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, methodical approach under pressure
- Solid programming fundamentals; experience with Python required
- Basic understanding of Linux systems and command-line environments
- Familiarity with networking concepts, logs, and debugging distributed systems is a plus
- Interest in real-time systems, low-latency environments, and how trading platforms operate
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to dig into messy, real-world issues
- Clear communicator who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
- No prior trading or crypto experience required — curiosity and reliability matter more, but 1+ years of experience would be a strong plus
