About Us: We are a family run wine company working from lovely offices in rural Kings Sutton The Role: The role includes owning and managing the Finance function of the company. Based in the office three days per week and at home up to two days per week. Key Responsibilities: Preparation and ownership of: - monthly management accounts – processing journals, reconciling accruals, prepayments - calculation of Sales Team monthly commissions - other financial reporting to help Directors manage the business - annual statutory accounts – collation of all year end schedules to the external Accountants - annual budget – liaising with staff and directors – managing process - monthly payroll submission for approx. 17 staff - monthly company pension submission - Quarterly VAT returns, annual P11Ds, monthly PAYE/NIC payments Managing day-to-day financial information – receipts, payments, purchase invoices, sales invoices, expenses etc as appropriate (one other member of staff processing these) Purchase of forward FX contracts for payment to future suppliers Management of company Healthcare Scheme Utility contracts / office & SIPP Insurance About You: -Management and Statutory Accountant experience – preferably with an Accountancy qualification - Demonstrates personal responsibility for producing high-quality outcomes and meeting deadlines promptly - Possesses business insight and the capacity to question trends and establish projections - Capable of collaborating effectively in a team environment by motivating, exchanging, and considering ideas - Proficient in IT and analytical skills (Proficiency in Word, Excel, and experience with systems especially XERO is advantageous) - Desirable to have technical and regulatory expertise
