We are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team based at our manufacturing site in Wimborne, Dorset. The role is permanent and full time, whilst most hours will be between 7.30am - 4pm Monday to Friday there may be the odd occasions where you will be required to work outside of these.
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer to join our high-performing team. You'll play a key role in keeping our production equipment running smoothly, responding to breakdowns, and driving continuous improvement across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out scheduled repairs and planned maintenance, particularly electrical.
- Execute improvement works aligned with business needs and production schedules.
- Prioritise tasks effectively, balancing reactive and proactive maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, flagging shortages as needed.
- Use Agility CMMS to log accurate asset history and maintenance records.
- Collaborate with the wider team to meet and exceed KPI targets.
- Ensure all production machinery is kept in optimal working condition.
- Identify faults and suggest improvements to enhance equipment reliability.
- Deliver a consistently high level of service to internal stakeholders.
- Review and refine preventative maintenance schedules based on hands-on experience.
- Uphold all health and safety standards and company procedures.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Time-served Electrician with a proven track record in fault diagnosis and repair.
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills and solid mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Clear communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally.
