We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Research & Technical Development team in Wimborne as a Quality Control Technician. Farrow & Ball are a luxury British lifestyle brand that prides itself in creating richly pigmented paint and handcrafted wallpaper, using print methods dating back 300 years and the finest quality ingredients. The unique Farrow & Ball look transforms modern and traditional homes, large and small, inside and out. Established in Dorset in 1946, we have grown over the last 75 years and now proudly have 60 showrooms worldwide with a global network of stockists. The key to our success is the people behind the paint: from the team handcrafting each tin to showroom staff to support functions, our shared passion ensures customers have a positive, engaging experience at every stage of their journey with us.
As the Quality Control Technician, you will ensure that every product produced by Farrow & Ball is manufactured to the highest quality and meets the agreed specification before despatch.
Responsibilities- Undertake routine quality control tests as outlined by the Quality Control Procedures.
- Testing to include Viscosity, Colour Measurement, Rheology and HPLC Analysis.
- Prepare samples for retention, to record results for batch testing on our internal IT system.
- To provide corrections to production batches where required.
- Carry out Complaint investigation.
- Carry out Microbial and Environmental testing in line testing plan.
- Ensure that all laboratory equipment is within calibration.
- Good communicator.
- Can work both well within a team and across the wider business.
- Understanding of the paint manufacturing process.
- Previous experience in a detailed and quality focused job role.
- Good colour perception.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Science (Chemistry or Physics), English and Maths.
