Farrow and Ball – National Account Manager (Brewers account) – Remote, UK
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our UK Commercial team for a National Account Manager. We are looking for an experienced senior key account manager to lead Farrow and Ball’s strategic partnership with Brewers. You will own the account vision and commercial strategy, driving sustainable profitable growth while ensuring best in class execution. We are offering this position on a full-time basis, home based although regular travel to our account locations and Head Office will be required.
Farrow & Ball are a luxury British lifestyle brand that prides itself in creating richly pigmented paint and handcrafted wallpaper, using print methods dating back 300 years and the finest quality ingredients.
The unique Farrow & Ball look transforms modern and traditional homes, large and small, inside and out. Established in Dorset in 1946, we have grown over the last 75 years and now proudly have 60 showrooms worldwide with a global network of stockists.
The key to our success is the people behind the paint: from the team handcrafting each tin to showroom staff to support functions, our shared passion ensures customers have a positive, engaging experience at every stage of their journey with us.
This role will be responsible for building a strong, joint business plan with Brewers, driving profitable growth and ensuring F&B is well positioned for trade professionals and retail consumer alike. The successful candidate will combine customer-centric account management with strong commercial, negotiation and analytical skills to deliver outstanding results.
What we expect from you as a National Account Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Leadership
- Act as the primary point of contact for Brewers, managing all aspects of the commercial relationship.
- Develop and implement a tailored joint business plan, aligning our growth objectives with Brewers’ strategy and focused on our key financial metrics.
- Negotiate annual terms, activation plans and new product listings.
Sales & Growth Delivery
- Achieve sales, revenue, and margin targets specific to Brewers.
- Identify and unlock category growth opportunities, including new ranges, seasonal promotions, and eCommerce expansion.
- Work closely with Brewers buying, merchandising, and supply chain teams to maximize availability and visibility.
- Establish relationships with Regional Brewers Sales teams.
Customer-Centric Execution
- Lead promotional planning and activation, ensuring strong in-store and online execution.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop shopper marketing campaigns tailored to Brewers’ customer base.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the DIY/home improvement category.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with key internal stakeholders including Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Category teams to deliver revenue plans and strategic alignment.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and high service levels to maintain supply reliability and in-store availability.
Key Attributes:
- Proven experience in national/key account management in FMCG environment or consumer goods.
- Proven track record of managing a major UK retail account.
- Clear understanding of how to execute winning JBPs with key retailers
- Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and P&L management expertise.
- Excellent relationship-building, presentation and influencing skills.
- Analytical, data-driven mindset with strong Excel and reporting skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Strong IT skills, including forecasting tools, Cognos & Microsoft Office.
