Our client is an alternative and special education provider delivering programmes to young people in schools, colleges, community centres, pupil referral units and young offender units, in addition to Vocational Training and skills programmes at numerous sites throughout the country.

They are looking to recruit a Maths & English Teacher / Tutor to work full time at their Great Yarmouth site. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Functional Skills from Entry level to level 2 in Maths and/or English
  • Creating an inspirational learning environment with high expectations of learner achievement, success and progression
  • Engaging with parents regarding the progress of learners, ensuring that they are engaged and supportive in all aspects of our delivery
  • Holding a recognised teaching qualification
  • Having experience of working with a cohort of young people including those with complex, high behaviour and additional learning needs
  • Having a clear understanding of the Study Programme

This is a full time post, 37hrs pw, dealing with 14-19 year olds, delivering a safe and secure education provision for students with complex needs and behaviours.

Due to the nature of the job, an Enhanced DBS will be required.
