Our client is an alternative and special education provider delivering programmes to young people in schools, colleges, community centres, pupil referral units and young offender units, in addition to Vocational Training and skills programmes at numerous sites throughout the country.

They are looking to recruit a Lead Teacher for Maths & English to work full time at their Great Yarmouth site. The successful candidate will:

  • Teach GCSEs in Maths and/or English
  • Engage with parents regarding the progress of learners, ensuring that they are engaged and supportive in all aspects of our delivery
  • Ensure that lessons are well planned and enable learners to achieve and progress.
  • Be the lead for improving the quality of teaching and learning by following and implementing the observation of teaching and learning procedures.
  • Support the training and development of staff to ensure the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Hold a QTS qualification or be willing to work towards.
  • Have a clear understanding of the Study Programme.
  • Have the ability to work effectively with students with complex needs.

Due to the nature of the job, an Enhanced DBS will be required.
