A solicitor apprenticeship at Farrer & Co is an exciting alternative to university, offering a unique opportunity to earn a salary while gaining practical legal experience and qualifying as a solicitor. This six-year Level 7 programme combines on-the-job training with structured academic study, equipping you with the skills and qualifications to excel in the legal profession.

This apprenticeship offers a balanced approach to learning, combining practical legal experience with academic study to ensure you are fully prepared for a successful legal career. With the support of University of Law and Farrer & Co's experienced teams, apprentices are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications to make a meaningful impact in the profession.

During the apprenticeship, you will:

  • Work towards an LLB (Hons) in Legal Practice and qualify as a solicitor.
  • Have all tuition fees fully paid, earning a salary while completing your qualification.
  • Spend four days per week working in our London office across various departments, including Commercial, Contentious, Private Client, Property, and Business Services.
  • Dedicate one day per week to guided study and skills coaching, supported by The University of Law (ULaw).

This apprenticeship is open to individuals who:

  • Do not hold a degree and are seeking an alternative to university.
  • Have achieved, or are predicted to achieve, strong A-Level grades (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Applications with mitigating circumstances will be considered.
  • Are eager to pursue a legal career while combining work and study.
