Farrer Barnes is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing chartered accountancy practice in Tonbridge, Kent, in their search for an Audit Manager.

The role can be shaped around your experience, strengths and career aspirations, with a varied portfolio covering company and charity audits, accounts, corporation tax and personal tax.
The Role
You will manage your own portfolio of clients, lead audit and accounts assignments and oversee a team of staff.
Working alongside other managers, you will manage workflow and report directly to the partners.
Key responsibilities include
- Planning and delivering audit and accounts assignments
- Leading larger and more complex assignments
- Reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations
- Supervising, coaching and developing junior team members
- Managing client relationships and communication
- Ensuring assignments are delivered on time and within budget
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities and management letter points
- Mentoring trainees and contributing to their development
- Building specialist sector knowledge and keeping up to date with technical developments
About You
You will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience, although candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
You should have
- Strong practical knowledge of UK GAAP and audit standards
- Experience preparing and reviewing accounts
- Practical knowledge of group accounts
- The ability to manage clients and lead a team effectively
- Experience across corporate and/or not-for-profit clients is advantageous
- IFRS knowledge would be useful but is not essential
