My client is an Academy Trust based in East London. Due to a period of growth within the trust they are now looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join the senior support staff. Leading a small finance team and reporting into the Financial Controller, the role centres on managing the income and expenditure of the school, providing insightful reporting and analysis for the SLT.
Key to success in this post will be setting and controlling budgets, forecasting and management accounts. Applications are sought from experienced finance candidates, either formally qualified or actively studying a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent) with previous experience of operating at a similar level, within schools or other educational sector experience. Certainly, evidence of managing and controlling budgets, good IT and reporting experience will be required.
