A lovely, family-run business based in Folkestone, well known for its warm, supportive and collaborative culture, is looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function.
This is a varied, hands-on bookkeeping role where you’ll take responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance across the business. It’s ideally suited to someone who enjoys working closely with others in a friendly, close-knit environment. The role is part-time across 3-5 days per week, with flexibility around how those hours are worked.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Processing supplier and customer payments
- Completing monthly bank and account reconciliations
- Preparing financial reports and assisting with budgets and VAT returns
- Processing payroll and maintaining payroll records
- Supporting general finance administration as required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
- AAT qualified
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Experience preparing VAT returns and related reporting
- Confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- £16 per hour
