My client is an Academy Trust based in East London. Due to a period of growth within the trust they are now looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join the senior support staff. Leading a small finance team and reporting into the Financial Controller, the role centres on managing the income and expenditure of the school, providing insightful reporting and analysis for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Key to success in this post will be setting and controlling budgets, forecasting and management accounts.
Responsibilities
- Lead a small finance team and report to the Financial Controller.
- Manage the income and expenditure of the school and deliver insightful reporting and analysis for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Set and control budgets, forecast accurately and prepare management accounts.
Qualifications
- Experienced finance candidate, formally qualified or actively studying a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent).
- Previous experience at a similar level within schools or other educational sector experience.
- Evidence of managing and controlling budgets, strong IT and reporting experience.
- You must have access to your own transport.
