We’re working with a well-established, privately owned online travel business currently undergoing a major digital transformation — and they’re now looking to bring in a talented developer to help shape the next phase of their technology journey.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • You’ll take the lead on rebuilding a high-volume pricing platform, modernising legacy systems, and designing the backend architecture that underpins the business.
  • This role will suit someone who’s confident working with large datasets, complex system structures, and designing scalable, maintainable services from the ground up.
  • While the focus is very much on the backend, you’ll occasionally support the front-end team to ensure smooth integration and end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rebuild and modernise existing systems with minimal PHP maintenance
  • Design and develop backend services using C# and PostgreSQL
  • Optimise and support large-scale data sets and complex architectures
  • Collaborate on front-end features with Node.js and React when required
  • Contribute to Python-based AI content projects
  • Apply DevOps knowledge to build scalable, reliable systems (Docker, AWS)
  • Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery within a flat, agile team

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven backend development experience (C# preferred), with strong PostgreSQL knowledge
  • Experience designing system architecture and working with large, transactional data sets
  • Comfortable contributing to front-end work (Node/React) in a full-stack environment
  • Solid DevOps skills: Linux command line, Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Git and modern dev workflows
  • Proactive, self-driven mindset and an ability to adapt to evolving tech

Why Apply?

  • Hybrid working: 2 days in-office (just outside Canterbury), 3 days remote
  • Involvement in a business-critical digital transformation
