Strong regional law firm in Suffolk is looking to recruit a Commercial Property lawyer of 3 or more years’ PQE. The team works across the full spectrum of commercial real estate matters, supporting an impressive portfolio of clients ranging from large national organisations to ambitious local businesses. They advise on everything from major property acquisitions and funding arrangements to the day‑to‑day management and occupation of commercial premises. Type of matters which they regularly undertake include: • freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals; • new build and pre‑letting work; • lease drafting, renewals and terminations; • property management matters (including dilapidations, rent reviews, assignments and sub‑lettings); • development site work; • lease extensions and collective enfranchisement. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, commercially focused advice to a broad client base. You run your own caseload of smaller matters (with support where needed) as well as assisting the wider team on larger, more complex matters. You will gain exposure to a wide range of commercial property matters, including: • freehold and leasehold transactions; • drafting and negotiating leases, licences and renewals; • secured lending and property finance; • options, overage and development matters; • corporate support on business acquisitions and disposals; • general landlord and tenant issues. To be considered for this role, candidates will have: • solid experience in commercial property work; • the ability to manage a caseload, with assistance from more experienced members of the team; • a proactive, client‑focused approach; • excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills.
