Well-regarded law firm in York is seeking to recruit a Private Client (Wills Tax Trusts & Estates) Solicitor or Legal Executive of 2 or more years’ PQE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a significant caseload of Wills, Tax, Trust and Probate matters including high value estate administration. You will have direct client contact and you will support more junior team members in their ongoing development and supervise their work where required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general advice to clients on all aspects of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trust processes
  • Prepare all types of Wills
  • Deal with high value estate administration
  • Inheritance tax planning
  • Advise on risks of death, divorce or bankruptcy in respect of lifetime gifting
  • Set up and administer trusts
  • Support more complex matters alongside senior members of the team
  • Provide ongoing technical support on matters for more junior fee-earners
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of fee-earning matters to more junior fee-earners
  • Have an active input in business development efforts for the department and the growth of the York office

Qualifications

You will be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with significant experience running your own Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts files with minimal supervision.
