Well-regarded law firm has an exciting opportunity for a Private Client (Wills Tax Trusts & Estates) lawyer of 2 to 7 years’ PQE to join their team in Cheltenham at Associate or Senior Associate level. The team is recognised for advising high net worth individuals (including business and agricultural clients), on a broad and stimulating range of matters. The team includes a significant number of STEP-qualified solicitors and members of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and is gaining a growing reputation in advising private family charitable trusts. They also have substantial experience in supporting clients with international assets. This role offers the chance to work closely with highly experienced and well-regarded private client Partners, as well as collaborate with the wider private client team in other offices.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:

  • advising on a wide range of private client matters including wills, probate, trusts, LPA’s, estates, and tax planning;
  • maintaining and developing strong technical knowledge, while sharing insight and expertise collaboratively across the team;
  • contributing to business development initiatives, including networking, marketing and cross-selling opportunities;
  • supporting the growth of client relationships and delivering an excellent client experience.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • 2-7 years’ PQE within Private Client;
  • STEP qualification or working towards this;
  • strong technical expertise with excellent drafting skills;
  • a collaborative approach and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
