Highly regarded commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit two Planning lawyers (one of 0 to 1 and the other of 2 or more years’ PQE). The team advises government departments, local authorities, water and sewerage undertakers, public and private companies and developers on a wide range of development projects including major infrastructure and environmentally sensitive projects, regeneration, housing, retail and leisure development as well as new settlements and town centre redevelopment.
It is essential that the successful candidates are looking to develop their own knowledge and experience in Planning law and have a keen willingness to help develop the practice as a whole. The roles encompass a broad range of Planning matters and will include:
- Drafting and negotiating s106 and other infrastructure agreements
- Advice relating to listed building and planning control (including enforcement action)
- Advice relating to contentious planning matters including judicial review and planning inquiries
- Advising on the Community Infrastructure Levy
- Advice relating to compulsory purchase and compensation
- Local Plan representations and objecting to planning applications
- Legal review of planning applications
- Assisting the firm’s Environmental practice on regulatory matters
Ideally applicants will currently specialise in Planning law (if you are already qualified) and, if you are newly-qualified, you will have undertaken a seat in Planning law.
