The Private Wealth team in London is seeking to recruit two Trusts & Private Wealth Disputes Solicitors or Barristers (one of 0 to 2 and the other of 3 or more years' PQE/Call). The team works closely with the non-contentious Private Wealth Team as well as working with the firm's other complementary practices.

Team Focus

The team predominantly advises ultra-high net worth entrepreneurs, business owners and their families, and trustees from around the globe. They advise on some of the most complex and high-value private wealth disputes, focusing principally on disputes with an international element. The team has a particularly strong presence in the Asian market and advises on some of the most significant trust disputes in the region. The team also advises numerous high-profile domestic dynastic families for which they are trusted advisers and has a strong expertise handling disputes involving cross-border taxation issues. Private Wealth is a core area of focus for the firm following its strategic review and the team is continually growing.

Role Expansion

The Private Wealth Disputes team is looking to organically grow in line with the non-contentious team, which is why they are looking for two new, dynamic associates to join the team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in trusts disputes
  • Experience in wills/succession issues/disputes
  • Experience in administration of complex multi-jurisdictional estates
  • Experience in Court of Protection applications
  • Experience in injunctions
  • Experience in 1975 Act claims and/or mental capacity issues

Ideally, the successful candidate will plan to embark upon (or have started) the ACTAPs or STEP qualifications.
