An exciting opportunity has arisen at this London commercial law firm which is seeking to recruit an Employee Incentives lawyer of 0 to 2 years’ PQE. The team advises businesses across all sectors, including entertainment, life-sciences, technology, fashion, energy and private equity.
Clients include quoted businesses of all sizes, whether headquartered in the UK or abroad, including FTSE listed companies, global private and family-owned businesses, high growth entrepreneurial businesses, private equity backed companies and employee-owned businesses. They provide wide-ranging tax and legal advice support to companies, including:
- Designing, drafting and implementing a full suite of statutory and bespoke equity incentives and cash-based bonus plans for employees, NEDs and consultants.
- Supporting employers in relation to de-risking and optimising remuneration arrangements and supporting evolution of reward planning as a business scales in size and as it expands globally.
- Providing employer support through the hire to retire/fire lifecycle, including aligning award terms with applicable governance requirements and crafting on-boarding offers and termination packages.
The team is also often instructed by individual executives, sometimes in high profile and contentious matters, and they will support and advise in relation to the equity incentives elements of the compensation arrangements, frequently adding value by helping to negotiate more favourable outcomes for clients.
The successful candidate will enjoy a high level of responsibility from the outset and carry and manage a diverse and busy caseload. Successful candidates will need to be able to inspire the trust and confidence of clients and senior colleagues, with a real focus on building long lasting relationships. Candidates will be creative legal thinkers who are able to approach matters both from a legal as well as a commercial perspective.
Candidates should also possess a willingness to become involved in business development activities on behalf of the team, both internally and externally, for a fantastic and varied career as part of a supportive and forward-thinking team. If you are already qualified, you will have had at least some Employee Incentives experience. If you are newly-qualified, you will have undertaken a seat in Employee Incentives and/or Corporate Tax.
