Private practice commercial law firm in Milton Keynes is looking to recruit an Employment Barrister of 5 or more years’ Call to join this friendly and dynamic Employment team. You will be a skilled advocate capable of representing clients at employment tribunal hearings and be able to provide employment advice to a range of clients from plc’s to SME’s including advice on:

  • disciplinary and grievance matters
  • unfair dismissal
  • discrimination
  • TUPE
  • Whistleblowing
  • Redundancy restructures
  • strategic advice to senior management teams and boards.

The successful candidate will work directly with the Head of Employment, Pensions. You will have circa 5+ years’ experience and perhaps be looking for a change of direction and new challenge, where you will receive support in progressing your career in private practice. You will ideally have experience in both the ET & EAT. The nature of the work is fast-paced and their clients’ interests are paramount so you must possess and demonstrate an enthusiasm, energy and passion for employment law, have exceptionally strong communication skills and work well in a team. The team takes a holistic approach to their work, offering a corporate level of service with a personal touch and over 90% of their work involves acting for the employer. This is an exciting time to be joining this team which continues to experience rapid growth.
