Job Opportunity: Education Regulatory/Compliance Lawyers

A well-regarded private practice law firm in London, specializing in Education law, is seeking to recruit two Education Regulatory/Compliance lawyers. One candidate should have 0 to 1 year of PQE, and the other should have 3 or more years.

The firm has a dedicated Regulatory & Compliance team that supports Education clients in navigating their regulatory frameworks and legal challenges. The work is dynamic and influenced by legal and political developments.

Responsibilities

• Advising on admissions, exclusions, appeals, and student disciplinary issues
• Managing safeguarding, SEN, and equality matters
• Handling complaints and tribunal claims
• Guiding schools through inspections and regulatory compliance
• Providing incident management and reputation services for independent schools

Candidate Profile

For the 3+ years role: Experience in parent and student legal matters, compliance with independent school regulatory frameworks, and advising on contentious and non-contentious issues are preferred. Experience advising school groups and governing bodies is also desirable.

For newly-qualified candidates: The firm considers those with a seat in Education or Regulatory law or with a strong interest in Education law.
