Commercial law firm in Leeds is looking to recruit a Corporate Tax/Real Estate Tax lawyer of 2 or more years’ PQE. The specialist Corporate Tax and Real Estate Tax Team comprises 15 lawyers and works closely with their colleagues in the Private Wealth Trusts, Estates and Tax team. This is a friendly and cohesive team with great support at all levels.
The team take an analytical yet commercial approach, supporting all types of corporate transactions as well as VAT, Stamp Duty and SDLT planning. They include tax lawyers and chartered tax advisors providing practical, pragmatic advice on all situations; from owner-managed businesses, private equity and unit trusts to properties and funds. These may include exit strategies and offshore structuring, groups of companies, employment tax and remuneration planning (including redundancy).
The team is now looking to recruit further at junior-, mid- and senior-levels and candidates will ideally have a strong background in advising on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, corporate re-organisations and restructuring, as well as SDLT, VAT and employment taxes.
The team adheres to flexible working patterns to work in the way that works best for both the individual team members and their clients.
