Commercial law firm in London is seeking to recruit a Corporate lawyer of 0 to 2 years’ PQE. This role will provide an opportunity to become involved in a broad spectrum of work across the corporate department.
The team’s work includes:
- UK-based deals and cross-border transactions and the department works with a range of clients, from start-ups to multinationals in all of the firm’s core sectors (technology, financial services and professional services);
- private M&A deals in the region of £10m-£100m (on both the buy and sale side) although many deals are larger than this;
- advising on ECM and other public market deals (particularly on the AIM market) including public takeovers and shareholder activism;
- venture capital investments and other private fundraisings;
- corporate reorganisations;
- employee share schemes;
- corporate governance.
The successful candidate can expect:
- to work on both varied and high-quality work;
- to work in small teams, which means there is an opportunity to take on significant responsibility from an early stage in your career (under excellent partner supervision) and to enjoy a high level of client contact;
- to gain exposure to different sectors and across all work types but, over time, there is the potential to specialise;
- to be involved in business development activities with a view to developing the practice and client and referrer relationships.
