A commercial law firm in Newcastle-upon-Tyne is looking to recruit a Commercial (Rail) lawyer of 1 or more years’ PQE. The successful candidate will join an experienced, high performing and committed team that has an excellent reputation with clients, colleagues and legal directories, and a strong team ethos.

You will work on a diverse range of matters focused around strategic and high-profile rail contracts for major clients, including rail concessions, rolling stock procurement and rail infrastructure projects. The work is varied and includes an opportunity for international work and to become immersed in a key sector.

Our client is seeking applications from lawyers with at least around one year's post qualification experience in either corporate, finance or commercial law, gained at a good commercial law firm. A background in Rail would be of interest but not essential. Applications are also welcome from lawyers who have worked in-house at one of the rail companies.

Whatever your experience level, you'll need excellent drafting skills, a sense of commercial pragmatism, a bright mind and a strong team ethos to help further develop the team's client base.
