Commercial law firm in Jersey is looking to recruit a Commercial Litigation lawyer of 5 or more years’ PQE. The team is instructed by a wide range of financial institutions, fiduciary service providers, commercial entities and private individuals based worldwide. They undertake a broad spectrum of litigation work including trust disputes, insolvencies, boardroom battles, fraud and asset recovery, regulatory enforcement and arbitration. You will work as part of the team assisting in the provision of a full range of litigation services to the teams’ clients. This will entail supporting the partner(s) and taking principal responsibility for cases involving a variety of contentious work. Types of Litigation you can expect to gain exposure to include: • general Commercial Litigation (including banking and finance) • Insolvency Lit • contentious Trusts and Probate • cross-border Fraud and Asset Tracing • Regulation and enforcement.
You will also assist in the promotion and development of the litigation team as a whole in the Channel Islands and across various jurisdictions by working with the Partners and assistants, engaging in business development and know how activities. Applications are welcome from lawyers admitted in England & Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland or one of the other commonwealth jurisdictions. It goes without saying that applications are also welcome from those lawyers already working offshore.
