Commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit a newly-qualified Employment lawyer of 0 to 1 year’s PQE. The team works across complex, high profile and high-stake situations, acting at the highest level for both employers and senior executives.
They are regularly instructed on cases that raise some of the most important legal questions of the day, including:
- Diversity and gender pay
- Employment status
- The implications of the 'gig' economy
- The interplay between data, transparency and privacy
The team is renowned for its strategic approach and litigation expertise, regularly appearing in the Employment Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Their work covers the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious Employment law. The team has significant experience in dealing with the complexities of LLPs, private equity and venture capital firms. Clients span a wide variety of sectors, with a particular emphasis on:
- Financial services
- Fashion and retail (inc. luxury goods)
- Media
The role will involve advising a variety of clients (involving both employers and employees) on both contentious and non-contentious Employment law, including:
- Discrimination
- Restrictive covenants
- HR advisory
- TUPE
- Unfair dismissal
- Redundancies
- Settlement agreements
- Data theft and the misappropriation of confidential information
- The employment aspects of corporate transactions and other contractual issues
Alongside day-to-day advisory work, there will be the opportunity to advise on litigious matters in the Employment Tribunal, High Court and appellate courts. You will also be encouraged to assist with the business development activities and networking initiatives of the department.
