The successful candidate will work with senior members of the team, focusing on property matters for church and charity clients, with a particular emphasis on church land. The position will also see you dealing with property owning trusts and some education clients, with a 60-70% split in favour of commercial property work.
Tasks will include:
- undertaking an exceptional variety of high-quality property transactions including charity property disposals and acquisitions, commercial leases, assisting with major development projects and a range of unusual and interesting instructions;
- Taking a lead in supporting and developing the client relationship with key diocesan clients (with appropriate level of Partner supervision and support where required);
- Providing advice across a wide range of disciplines relating to charity property, including ecclesiastical, educational and trust law;
- Being committed to working with and developing long-term relationships with church and charity clients.
This is the ideal role for someone who has either very recently qualified and either completed seats in real estate/commercial property and/or residential property, looking to work in an area of law that will provide you with a level of complexity and various technical/commercial nuances that many firms do not operate in. You will thrive and enjoy the process of learning, whilst balancing a varied and interesting caseload.
We would also be open to seeing candidates who are established property focused paralegals looking for a long term and fulfilling property role.
