Commercial law firm in the City is looking to recruit two Banking lawyers of 2 to 4 and 5 or more years’ PQE. This is a fantastic opportunity to join this market leading Leveraged Finance practice with a focus on developing their expertise and market share in London.
The team works closely with some of the UK's major banks and financial institutions and has approved panel status with many of them. Equally, in parallel with the firm’s successful PE team, they work with some of the major PE houses ensuring that their Associates have the opportunities to work both borrower and lender side and learn from that experience.
The work on offer is varied with a focus on leveraged finance, corporate lending, corporate/sponsor led transactions and growth lending / venture debt. They work across the full transaction lifecycle including:
- Drafting and negotiating facilities agreements and security documents (both LMA and non-LMA form)
- Negotiating intercreditor arrangements
- Drafting standard form precedent documentation
- Working closely with our corporate and restructuring teams
The team also does a material amount of in-life work on a portfolio basis working with lenders and borrowers on waivers, re-sets, restatements and bolt-ons. There is also a continued focus on cross border/international transactions.
With a consistent volume of transactions, this is an excellent platform for the successful candidates to assume matter responsibility and there is ample opportunity to participate in client/business development initiatives. The London office is dynamic and entrepreneurial, affording a great opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to contribute to expansion of the practice and to advance personally.
