This role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners and colleagues advising on a wide range of high‑quality Agricultural/Rural and Residential Property transactions. This is not a volume conveyancing role. The focus of this role is on:

  • providing a meticulous, bespoke service to clients, many of whom have significant rural and landed interests;
  • matters range from the sale and purchase of substantial country houses and farming estates through to smaller parcels of agricultural land and individual fields.

You will work as part of a close‑knit team advising on:

  • sales and purchases of country houses, farms and rural estates, including high‑value and complex transactions;
  • acquisitions and disposals of agricultural land, from significant holdings to single fields, often with associated rights, access and land use issues;
  • general agricultural issues – farm business tenancy agreements, contract farming agreements etc.

You will be closely supported by partners and colleagues and will be encouraged to take an active role in the day‑to‑day life and development of the team. This role is specifically designed for a lawyer with an eye on the future. They offer:

  • a path to partnership ie. a transparent framework for progression from Associate to Senior Associate and beyond;
  • having direct Partner access ie. working daily with senior leaders, gaining the high-level experience necessary for top-tier career advancement.

The successful candidate will:

  • have a proven interest and (ideally) experience in agricultural and rural property matters;
  • thrive when working with discerning clients who expect a premium and detail-oriented service;
  • be looking for more than just a job; you want a role where you can contribute to business development and team expansion.
