This Agricultural team in Oxford is in expansion mode and is looking to add two Agricultural Property lawyers to their team – one of 0 to 2 years’ PQE and the other of 5 or more years’ PQE. The successful candidates will work across a range of work-types which will include more traditional Agricultural Property work as well as assisting clients with all manner of diversification projects. You will advise and assist on a wide range of matters connected with rural land including: sales and acquisitions of agricultural land and buildings; drafting overage provisions; farm-related tenancy issues including succession rights and surrenders; wayleaves and easements; property development/ investment work; renewable energy projects and more. The role may also include, from time to time, supporting the wider commercial property team. You will receive good supervision and training, with the opportunity in time to build a name for yourself in a rewarding and specialist discipline. You will also be encouraged to get involved in business development opportunities as part of the team and firm generally.
Both recruits will assist the wider team on larger rural matters, whilst also running their own caseload of smaller matters (with the more junior recruit (0 to 2 years) receiving an appropriate level of Partner supervision). Candidates must be able to demonstrate an interest in the rural sector and have the ability to develop an affinity with our client contacts. You will benefit from support and career development from highly regarded and experienced partners with access to cases of a quality hard to find elsewhere in the Thames Valley.
