We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Fit-Out Internals Manager / General Foreperson to oversee and coordinate all internal finishing works on a care home development project.

You will be responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring quality standards are achieved, maintaining programme deadlines, and delivering a high-quality finished product in a live construction environment.

You are required to be a hands-on individual with proven experience managing internal fit-out works on care homes, healthcare, residential, hotel, or similar projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all internal fit-out activities from first fix through to handover.
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
  • Ensure high standards of quality control throughout all finishing stages.
  • Conduct regular inspections and identify any defects or non-conformances.
  • Work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and commercial team.
  • Monitor construction programme and proactively address delays.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Manage snagging, commissioning support, and final handover processes.
  • Attend site meetings and provide progress reports.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and building control where required.
  • Ensure materials and labour resources are effectively planned and managed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Fit-Out Manager, Internal Works Manager, Finishing Manager, or Foreman on care home, healthcare, residential, hotel, or similar projects
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering internal works to a high standard.
  • Strong knowledge of: Drylining; Tape + Jointing; Joinery; Flooring; FFE; Decoration; M&E coordination; Fire stopping; Final finishing works/Snagging
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme targets
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and snagging procedures
  • Competent in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
  • Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate.
  • Valid CSCS Card (Management/Supervisory level).
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Relevant construction qualification (NVQ Level 3 or above in Construction Management, Site Supervision, Carpentry, or related discipline).
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience working on care home or healthcare projects.
  • Fire safety and passive fire protection knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
