Livingston, West Lothian, United Kingdom Be the First to Apply Job Description We are looking for a skilled writer who is ready to start their career within our professional Pre-Contract department as a Junior Bid Writer.

This role will see you being responsible for preparing compelling and compliant written responses for tender submissions, using knowledge supplied by subject matter experts.

You will also contribute to the department’s knowledge management systems.

This role will require you to have a high standard of written English and demonstrable research skills.

Our Pre-Contract department is key to the ongoing success of the company.

Therefore, we will actively support your personal development, including to achieve certification with the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).

Responsibilities Working alongside Bid Managers to agree bid milestones and submission dates for work packages relevant to the response.

Support the Bid Manager in management of writing workshops and answer planning.

Timely population of standard company information into tender responses (on-line or in print).

Work with subject matter experts to develop and refine compliant, responsive and compelling written responses.

Assist in the maintenance of a library of bid information, track record, CVs etc.

Update CVs and track record project sheets, by interviewing members of staff and otherwise gathering information, to ensure an accurate and consistent library of information.

Assist in development and delivery of ad-hoc tasks such as the creation of presentations, graphics and marketing material.

Work in accordance with company brand guidelines.

Abide by all business compliance requirements in line with Company policies.

Qualifications Educated to degree level or equivalent Excellent standard of written English with an ability to articulate messages clearly and concisely No specific experience is required, but applicants will need to demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn Accuracy and attention to detail Good research skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Power Point Able to plan own workload and work to deadline About Us Here at Farrans we build, we transform, and we connect.
