I have a superb role for a great Bradford business that is renowned globally for their excellent products and services to their International clients. You will need to be highly numerate, efficient, analytical and have a super positive attitude to join this fun and unique team, managing their clients' inventories and purchase merchandise.
The role is based at their main Bradford head office and hours are Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm. This can also be a hybrid role after training.
I need you to have some previous experience of working within a Supply Chain environment and ideally will have had exposure to expediting high volumes and products within a retail or product industry. This is a busy and varied role where responsibilities include:
- Monitoring sales online using the company stock system
- Tracking shipments from overseas
- Overseeing stock counts
- Maintaining reports of purchases and pricing
A good understanding of merchandising responsibilities including critical path management would be highly advantageous, but training will be given. You will definitely need excellent EXCEL skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS) across our number of retail customers
- Working with customers to understand their product estimates against previous sales history to ensure the correct supply of stock
- Tracking shipments and addressing any delays, working with factories to manage the packaging and approval process of the goods
- Managing the container fill and the shipment of goods from India and China
- Coordinating regular inventory audits
- Liaising with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
- Keeping updated stock records and identifying any areas where stock may be different on the systems to the stock available
- Ensuring purchases do not exceed budget
- Updating and managing critical path
