My textiles client exceeds their customers' quality expectations and they are looking to find someone that has an interest in laboratory tasks and testing. In return, they are keen to offer a career with full training to be part of the quality team. They are open to candidates that are interested in testing and have the technical competence to train within this team.
PurposeTo carry out a range of textile technologist duties including technical, investigative, and quality assurance work to ensure the end product performs to specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting in the day-to-day quality assurance/control testing of fabrics and yarns to British Standards.
- Preparation and testing of samples ensuring quality in areas such as strength, durability, colour fastness, and chemical resistance.
- Undertaking quality evaluations of materials and checking the quality of the final product.
- Operation of testing equipment.
- Logging results.
- Recording, interpreting, and evaluating test results.
- Supporting the Quality Manager in tasks related to the upkeep of UKAS and M&S documentation.
- Supporting with investigations needed for quality problems or complaints.
